Security measures were heightened as schools conducted thorough checks. Education Minister Atishi reassured parents of ongoing safety measures. The incident underscores the need for vigilance amidst such false threats.            

A Vistara flight that was traveling from Bhubaneswar to New Delhi had to make an emergency landing shortly after taking off because it encountered a hailstorm. During the hailstorm, the windshield of the aircraft was damaged, possibly due to hailstones hitting it. Despite the damage to the windshield, the flight crew managed to safely land the plane back at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar. Fortunately, all 169 passengers and crew onboard the flight were unharmed. The airport director, Prasanna Pradhan, confirmed that while the windshield was damaged, no passengers were injured as a result of the incident.

Anuj Thapan, accused of supplying weapons in the firing outside Salman Khan's house, attempted suicide in police custody. Rushed to hospital, he died during treatment. Thapan and accomplice Sonu Subhash Chander were arrested by Mumbai Police on April 25. The firing incident occurred on April 14, with two shooters detained later. Salman Khan was present during the incident. The police have invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against all accused. Investigation continues.

By adapting spy satellite techniques, they've developed a way to detect mosquito larvae in water bodies using drones. Their tests have shown promising results, accurately identifying larvae in different types of containers. Delhi Police's chargesheet against Newsclick and its founder Prabir Purkayastha accuses them of terror funding and spreading Chinese propaganda. Purkayastha, under investigation for allegedly broadcasting Chinese propaganda in India, is linked to the farmers' protests and the 2020 Delhi riots. The chargesheet alleges his involvement in collecting funds for terrorist activities, including supporting banned group Lashkar-e-Taiba. With evidence suggesting Rs 91 crore funneled through Newsclick for such activities, Purkayastha and HR head Amit Chakravarty were arrested by Delhi Police's Special Cell on October 3 last year. The chargesheet spans nearly 8,000 pages, with annexures detailing the accusations.
