Sisir Radar, an Indian start-up, is using advanced satellite technology to tackle the mosquito issue. By adapting spy satellite techniques, they've developed a way to detect mosquito larvae in water bodies using drones. Their tests have shown promising results, accurately identifying larvae in different types of containers. This breakthrough aims to pinpoint exactly where mosquitoes are breeding, especially during the summer and monsoon months. Sisir Radar hopes this technology will enable more targeted and effective insecticide spraying to control mosquito populations.
