Delhi Police's chargesheet against Newsclick and its founder Prabir Purkayastha accuses them of terror funding and spreading Chinese propaganda. Purkayastha, under investigation for allegedly broadcasting Chinese propaganda in India, is linked to the farmers' protests and the 2020 Delhi riots. The chargesheet alleges his involvement in collecting funds for terrorist activities, including supporting banned group Lashkar-e-Taiba. With evidence suggesting Rs 91 crore funneled through Newsclick for such activities, Purkayastha and HR head Amit Chakravarty were arrested by Delhi Police's Special Cell on October 3 last year. The chargesheet spans nearly 8,000 pages, with annexures detailing the accusations.
