Indian Army personnel injured in Ladakh underwent successful surgery in New Delhi after prompt airlift by Indian Air Force (IAF). Using a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, IAF airlifted the soldier to Delhi for surgery, employing Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) for the nighttime operation. The soldier had lost his hand while operating a machine in Ladakh. Surgery was crucial within 6 to 8 hours.
