IAF Night Rescue: Ladakh Soldier's Hand Saved in Delhi Surgery

Indian Army personnel injured in Ladakh underwent successful surgery in New Delhi after prompt airlift by Indian Air Force (IAF). Using a C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, IAF airlifted the soldier to Delhi for surgery, employing Night Vision Goggles (NVGs) for the nighttime operation. The soldier had lost his hand while operating a machine in Ladakh. Surgery was crucial within 6 to 8 hours. A dedicated medical team at R&R hospital conducted the successful surgery, and the soldier is now on the path to recovery. NVGs played a crucial role in the night airlift operation.
