The Indian High Commission in the UK issued a statement regarding the incident at a Glasgow Gurudwara where the Indian High Commissioner was denied entry. The statement said "three persons - all from areas outside Scotland - deliberately disrupted" the planned event and "threatened and abused" organizers. It added that to "prevent any potential altercation," the High Commissioner left shortly after arriving, and "One of the non-local extremist elements attempted to violently force open the HC's car door." The statement called it a "disgraceful incident" and said the High Commission "reported this to the FCDO and the Metropolitan Police." It noted multiple community organizations "have formally regretted the incident and have urged the authorities to take action."
