Cyclone Remal made landfall on Sunday night, impacting coastal regions of Bangladesh and West Bengal with wind speeds of 110-120 kmph, gusting up to 135 kmph. The West Bengal government has evacuated over 1.1 lakh people to secure shelters. Bangladesh evacuated 800,000 people from vulnerable coastal areas.
