IndiGo has rescheduled and canceled flights ahead of Cyclone Remal, issuing a NOTAM in Kolkata. The cyclone, with winds up to 135 kmph, is set to make landfall near Khepupara in Bangladesh and Sagar Islands in West Bengal around 11 pm Sunday. Kolkata Airport Authority suspended 394 flights from Sunday noon to Monday 9 am. Some passengers, unaware of the changes, demanded hotel costs and food allowances. The Airport Authority of India in Agartala also canceled Kolkata flights until May 27. Flights from Delhi, Bangalore, and Guwahati continue as scheduled.
