In an inspiring feat, Tinkesh Kaushik, a 30-year-old triple amputee from Goa, has become the first person with such a disability to reach the Mount Everest Base Camp, located 17,598 feet above sea level. Kaushik, who lost his limbs in an electrocution accident at age 9, achieved this remarkable milestone on May 11. Despite his physical limitations, he credits his mental strength for overcoming the challenges. A fitness coach by profession, Kaushik initially thought the trek would be easy but soon realized its difficulty. His achievement has made Goa proud, according to the Disability Rights Association of Goa.
