India has detected 290 cases of KP.2 and 34 cases of KP.1, sub-lineages of Covid-19 responsible for a surge in cases in Singapore. The Indian SARS-CoV-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACOG) is closely monitoring the situation, and samples are being picked up from hospitals to detect any change in the severity of the disease.
