The Indian government has announced a one-day state mourning on Tuesday, May 21, to honor the memory of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash on Monday. As a mark of respect, the national flag will be flown at half-mast on all buildings where it is regularly flown, and official entertainment will be suspended for the day. Raisi, along with Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amit-Abdollahian and other officials, were killed in the crash in northwest Iran. The state mourning is a gesture of respect from the Government of India.
