Gopi Thotakura, a pilot and entrepreneur, made history by becoming the first Indian space tourist aboard Blue Origin's NS-25 mission. He was one of six crew members on the flight, which lifted off from West Texas on Sunday. Thotakura, who co-founded Preserve Life Corp, is an experienced pilot with a passion for flying various aircraft. This mission marked the seventh human flight for Blue Origin's New Shepard programme, which has flown 31 humans above the Karman line, the boundary between Earth's atmosphere and outer space. Thotakura follows in the footsteps of Indian Army's Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma, who ventured into space in 1984.
