India Advises Students in Bishkek to Remain Indoors After Mobs Attack Foreigners

India has urged its students in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, to stay indoors after violent mobs targeted foreigners, injuring at least 29 people. The Indian embassy is in contact with students and advises them to remain inside and report any issues. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stressed the need for students to stay in touch with the embassy. The violence began after viral videos showed an incident on May 13, where Kyrgyz men were allegedly beaten by Egyptian students. Hundreds of police were deployed to control the situation. No injuries to Indian nationals have been reported.
