Air India Express Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Bengaluru Airport Due to Engine Fire

An Air India Express flight made an emergency landing at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport on Saturday night due to a fire in one of its engines. The flight, carrying 179 passengers and six crew members, was forced to return to the airport shortly after takeoff. A full-scale emergency was declared, and the fire was extinguished upon landing. All passengers and crew were successfully evacuated. The airline stated that the pilots elected to return to Bengaluru due to suspected flames in the right engine, and a precautionary landing was carried out. The incident is under investigation.
