India and China have intensified their border infrastructure projects amid worsening ties. The Indian Army established high-altitude tank repair facilities in Ladakh to maintain its armored fleet, while China is building a road through the disputed Shaksgam Valley. India's new facilities at Daulat Beg Oldie and Nyoma enhance operational readiness, with over 500 tanks deployed in the region. Meanwhile, China accelerates its G216 highway construction near the Line of Actual Control (LAC), reducing dependence on the vulnerable G219 route. These developments highlight the escalating strategic competition between the two nations in the high-altitude border areas.
