Seven Indian-origin students have been awarded the Knight-Hennessy scholarship, the largest graduate fellowship globally, to pursue advanced degrees at Stanford University. The recipients—Ank Agarwal, Wasan Kumar, Aneesh Pappu, Isha Sanghvi, Kritika Singh, Krishna Pathak, and Rahul Penumaka—are among 90 scholars chosen from 30 countries. They will undertake studies in fields such as medicine, technology, engineering, and law. This year's diverse group includes nearly 50% non-US passport holders. The scholars are recognized for their independence, leadership, and civic contributions. The fellowship provides up to three years of financial support.
