Fake agents are luring people into scam companies involved in cyber crimes and crypto-currency fraud. These fraudulent companies advertise jobs like digital sales and marketing executives or customer support services in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone in Laos. Agents based in Dubai, Bangkok, Singapore, and India are recruiting Indian citizens. The MEA advises India Nationals to only take up jobs through authorized agents approved by the ministry to avoid falling prey to these scams.
