The United States Census Bureau reports that the Asian Indian population has become the largest Asian-alone population group in the country, with remarkable growth exceeding 50% between 2010 and 2020, totaling 4,397,737 individuals. They have now surpassed Chinese Americans as the largest Asian-alone group, although Chinese Americans remain the largest when considering 'multiracial' individuals, with 5.2 million individuals. The Chinese population also experienced significant growth, rising by 37% to 5,205,461. The Asian Indian population is most prominent in California, followed by Texas, New Jersey, New York, and Illinois. This demographic shift reflects the nation's increasing diversity.
