Bengaluru was hit by heavy rain on Thursday evening and Friday morning, causing widespread flooding and disruption to normal life. Several areas of the city were under water for hours, affecting main roads and prompting police to redirect traffic. The flooding also affected domestic flight services at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), with water leakage in Terminal 2 causing inconvenience to passengers and impacting flight operations. At least 17 flights were diverted to Chennai due to the flooding. The airport authorities have confirmed the incident and are working to restore normal operations.
