Yadav purportedly provided Pannun's details, including his New York address, to a hired hit team. India has refuted these allegations, denying any involvement in a supposed murder plot against Pannun. Earlier reports from 2022 revealed a thwarted attempt on Pannun's life, with the US issuing warnings to India. An indictment filed in a Manhattan court implicates a Nikhil Gupta, allegedly working with a high-ranking Indian official, identified as 'CC-1', believed to be Yadav, in the scheme.
