Colorado regulators accuse Indian restaurants Bombay Clay Oven and Saucy Bombay of deceiving investors with "half-truths and lies" for nationwide expansion plans. The lawsuit alleges owners spent invested funds on rent, operating costs, and Ponzi-like payments. The Bombay Group (TBG), which owned the restaurants, aimed for a nationwide franchise of Saucy Bombay. Securities Commissioner Tung Chan urges affected investors to contact authorities. Defendants, TBG and securities broker Michael Bissonnette, declined to discuss allegations.
