Ayesha Rashan, a 19-year-old from Pakistan, finally received a life-saving heart transplant after enduring a five-year wait due to a heart ailment. The heart, donated by a 69-year-old brain-dead patient in Delhi, was transported to Chennai-based M3M Healthcare for the surgery. Ayesha's journey began in 2019 when she suffered a cardiac arrest in India, prompting senior cardiac surgeon Dr. KR Balakrishnan to recommend a transplant. Despite initial treatment and returning home, her condition deteriorated in 2023, leading to infection. With the support of a fund pool and dedicated medical professionals, Ayesha underwent a successful transplant surgery, bringing relief to her and her family. She now looks forward to completing her education in Karachi and pursuing her dream of becoming a fashion designer
