An IED blast on a crucial bridge along NH 2 in Manipur has left over 150 trucks carrying essential commodities stranded in Senapati district. The explosion, between Koubru Leikha and Saparmeina, formed three craters, suspending heavy vehicle movement on the route. The Kangpokpi District Magistrate has allowed only light unloaded and passenger vehicles under strict regulation. Security forces have cordoned off the area, initiating an investigation. This incident follows recent clashes between communities in Imphal West district, adding to the toll of over 200 dead and thousands displaced in ethnic violence since last year.
