India and China continue talks to resolve border issues along the Line of Actual Control (LAC). In the 29th meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination (WMCC), both nations discussed achieving complete disengagement and resolving remaining issues in the Western Sector. The Indian delegation, led by Joint Secretary (East Asia) from the MEA, engaged with the Chinese delegation headed by Director General of the Boundary and Oceanic Department of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Beijing. Both sides agreed to maintain regular contact through diplomatic and military channels, emphasizing peace and tranquility in border areas as per existing agreements.
