Microsoft has reunited its Windows and Surface teams, appointing Pavan Davuluri, an IIT Madras alumni, to lead development. Previously, Windows was under the AI organization, but it now falls back under the Engineering and Devices organization overseen by Rajesh Jha. Davuluri, formerly in charge of hardware, will now oversee Windows engineering as well. This restructure follows Panos Panay's departure last September, with his duties split between Davuluri and Mikhail Parakhin, who also heads Microsoft's Web and Advertising division. Parakhin now oversees Windows, including Bing, Edge, and Copilot.
