Amid escalating tensions with India, Canadian PM Trudeau now says he doesn't want to “provoke” India or “escalate” tension, but wants India to take the killing of Sikh separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar with “utmost seriousness.” This comes after the international community expressed worry over the escalating tensions between India and Canada, with the UK and US reacting to Trudeau's allegation against India. Over the last two days, Canada and India each expelled a senior diplomat of the other country. The unnamed Canadian diplomat has been asked to leave India within five days.
