Manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, this move enhances indigenization efforts. The Coast Guard's choppers replace old ones, while the Army's serve multiple roles. The projects, valued over Rs 8,000 crore, signify a boost in indigenous capabilities. Additionally, the government sanctioned the upgrade of BMP infantry combat vehicles for the Indian Army's mechanized infantry.
