Delhi Police and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) have drawn parallels between the explosion near the Israel Embassy on Tuesday night and a similar IED blast at the same location in 2021. Both incidents involved suspects carefully scoping out CCTV cameras, escaping by auto-rickshaw, and hiding out in Delhi's Jamia area. In both cases, typed letters with threatening language referencing "jihad" against Israel were left at the site. Though suspects were identified after the 2021 blast, no arrests have yet been made. With embassies on high alert after the latest explosion, investigators are concerned by the striking similarities suggesting the possible re-emergence of an unapprehended terror network targeting Israeli interests.
