A man posing as a UK-based doctor, allegedly involved in the deaths of three girls in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, was earlier barred by the Medical Council of India (MCI) in 2014 for professional misconduct. Identified as Manish Singh, he claimed foreign medical qualifications and practiced medicine illegally. Despite the MCI ban, Singh continued offering treatments and conducting awareness campaigns. His controversial medical practices are now under scrutiny following the recent deaths, raising serious concerns about regulatory lapses and the unchecked operations of quacks in rural India. Authorities have launched a full investigation. ( PC: The Print )
