India is finalizing the extradition of Tahawwur Rana, a key conspirator in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks that killed 166 people. After the U.S. Supreme Court rejected Rana's appeal against extradition on January 21, 2025, legal barriers have been cleared. The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that procedural formalities are underway in coordination with U.S. authorities. Rana, a Pakistani-origin Canadian national, is accused of assisting David Headley in planning the attack. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is preparing to send a team to the U.S. to bring him to India via a special flight. (PC: Times Now)
