The US Supreme Court has denied 26/11 accused Tahawwur Rana's plea to block his extradition to India, marking a crucial step in India’s pursuit of justice for the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks that killed over 160 people. Rana, a Pakistani-origin Canadian, is accused of aiding terrorist David Headley and Lashkar-e-Taiba. He filed emergency appeals to stop the extradition, but the Court refused his application. During PM Modi’s February US visit, Donald Trump had confirmed approval of Rana’s extradition. Rana is currently held in Los Angeles and is expected to be transferred soon to face trial in India.
