This funding, part of a broader probe into violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, was reportedly for services provided to the Council on Energy, Environment, and Water (CEEW). The ED is questioning the legitimacy of these transactions and exploring whether they align with India's regulatory requirements, particularly considering Soros' organizations' past scrutiny under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
