In a significant operation, Punjab Police's Amritsar Commissionerate apprehended two repeat offenders, Sukhdev Singh (60) and Avtar Singh alias Tari (45), seizing 10 kg of heroin. Previously arrested in 2015 alongside two Pakistani nationals for a 19.5 kg heroin consignment, they resumed smuggling after release. Investigations reveal they coordinated with Pakistan-based smugglers, retrieving at least three drone-dropped heroin consignments in recent months. Their Toyota Etios, used for transport, was also impounded. Authorities continue probing to trace the network's full extent. (PC: WJBF)
