Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra has approached the Madras High Court seeking transit anticipatory bail following an FIR filed against him in Mumbai. The case stems from his recent stand-up video, "Naya Bharat," which includes a parody song criticizing Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for his role in the Shiv Sena's split. The video led to controversy, with Shinde's supporters allegedly vandalizing the performance venue, which was subsequently partially demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation citing irregularities.
