Chennai Super Kings started their IPL 2025 campaign with a comfortable four-wicket win over Mumbai Indians at Chepauk. MI’s losing streak in opening matches continued for the 13th year. Batting first, MI struggled as Noor Ahmad (4/18) and Khaleel Ahmed (3/29) restricted them to 155/9. In response, CSK chased the target with ease. Rachin Ravindra anchored the innings with an unbeaten 65 off 45 balls, while captain Ruturaj Gaikwad smashed 53 off 26.
