A fire at the North Hyde electrical substation in Hayes, West London, has caused a significant power outage, leading to the closure of Heathrow Airport until 23:59 on March 21. This incident has disrupted over 1,300 flights, affecting more than 100,000 passengers globally. Airlines such as Qantas have diverted flights to alternate airports, including Paris' Charles de Gaulle and Shannon in Ireland. The London Fire Brigade, with ten fire engines and approximately 70 firefighters, responded to the blaze, evacuating around 150 residents from nearby properties.
