Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Russia of rejecting a US-backed ceasefire after a 90-minute call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump. While Putin agreed to a 30-day pause on strikes targeting Ukraine’s energy sites, he insisted that lasting peace depended on halting all Western military aid. Shortly after the call, air raid sirens sounded, and explosions were reported across Ukraine, including a strike on a Sumy hospital. Washington continues pushing for a full ceasefire, with Trump claiming to have an "understanding" with Putin. Moscow, however, maintains its demand for a complete halt to Western support.
