Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) militants hijacked Pakistan’s Jaffar Express in Balochistan’s Sibi district, taking 100+ security personnel hostage. The train, traveling from Quetta to Peshawar, was stopped after gunmen bombed the railway track and wounded the driver. Six military personnel were killed. Civilians were released, but the BLA warned hostages would be executed if airstrikes continued. Pakistani forces launched a ground assault but retreated after intense clashes. Helicopters and drones continue operations. The BLA issued a final ultimatum for military withdrawal. Authorities have yet to respond.
