PM Modi Receives Mauritius' Highest Civilian Award

Mauritius has conferred its highest civilian honor, The Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (GCSK), on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mauritian PM Navin Ramgoolam announced the award, making Modi the first Indian and the fifth foreign national to receive it. Modi met Mauritius President Dharambeer Gokhool and discussed deepening bilateral ties. He also attended Mauritius’ National Day celebrations as chief guest. “Honored to strengthen India-Mauritius ties,” Modi posted on X. This marks the 21st international award given to Modi by a foreign nation.
