US President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau discussed trade and fentanyl smuggling in a tense call. After Trump imposed new tariffs on Canadian imports, Canada hit back with its own. Trudeau asked Trump to reconsider, but Trump said, “Nothing has convinced me that fentanyl smuggling has stopped.” He also claimed Trudeau was using the dispute to stay in power, adding, “Good luck, Justin!” Trudeau’s government refused to lift Canada’s tariffs unless the US removes theirs.
