Gal Gadot has denied claims that she refused to present the Best Documentary Oscar to No Other Land, a film about Palestinian suffering. A viral social media post suggested the Israeli actress abstained due to her pro-Israel stance. However, her spokesperson told Daily Mail that she was never assigned to present the award. Instead, Selena Gomez and Samuel L. Jackson gave the award to director Basel Adra. In his speech, Adra criticized US President Donald Trump’s policy on Gaza and called for an end to the “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians. Trump had earlier proposed rebuilding Gaza.
