In a high-level summit in Washington, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former US President Donald Trump set a bold vision to take two-way trade between India-US to $500 billion in 2030. The discussions centered on strengthening economic cooperation in sectors of artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and strategic mineral supply chains. Modi highlighted India's cut in US goods tariffs, whereas Trump was adamant on a fair reciprocal trading system. Both leaders called for a comprehensive trading arrangement to bridge existing gaps to enable each other's economic growth.
