US President Donald Trump has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit the US next week. Modi is expected to arrive in Washington DC on 12 February after visiting France. He will meet Trump on 13 February, and Trump may host a dinner for him. The leaders will discuss trade, immigration, and security. The US wants India to buy more American-made defence equipment and improve military cooperation. Modi and Trump also discussed illegal immigration. India has agreed to take back identified illegal Indian migrants. Both sides aim to strengthen ties and resolve trade issues during the visit.
