Tribal 'King' From Kerala, Raman Rajamannan, Attends 76th Republic Day Parade In Delhi

Raman Rajamannan, the tribal 'king' of Kerala's Mannan community, attended India's 76th Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi. Invited by Kerala Minister OR Kelu, Rajamannan, accompanied by his wife Binumol, marked history as the first tribal king to attend the Republic Day parade. Dressed in traditional attire, the king leads 300 Mannan families in Idukki district and plays a vital role in community rituals. A graduate and farmer, Rajamannan oversees local matters through a council of deputies and ministers. The Mannan community follows a matrilineal system, emphasizing women's inheritance rights. His visit to Delhi includes sightseeing before returning on February 2.
