A series of earthquakes, including a powerful 7.1 magnitude tremor, struck Tibet on Tuesday morning, with tremors felt across Delhi-NCR, Bihar, West Bengal, and northeastern India. The initial quake occurred near the Nepal-Tibet border at 6:35 am, followed by aftershocks of 4.7 and 4.9 magnitude. Nepal's Kathmandu saw residents evacuating homes as strong tremors shook the city. Shigatse, Tibet's second-largest city, reported another 6.8 magnitude earthquake. According to China's state broadcaster, the region has experienced 29 earthquakes exceeding 3 magnitude in five years. No significant damage has been reported so far, but authorities are monitoring the situation closely.
