Strong winds of up to 70mph are disrupting travel across the UK as Storm Bert sweeps through. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for wind until 9pm on Sunday, affecting most of England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. Ferries, trains, and flights have been disrupted, including services to Gatwick and Stansted airports. Several ferry routes in Scotland and Ireland have been cancelled, and speed restrictions are in place on some ScotRail routes. Dangerous coastal conditions with large waves have been reported. The storm coincides with a busy pre-Christmas travel period, adding to the challenges for millions.
