In response to Bangladesh deploying Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 drones near its border with India, the Modi government has strengthened surveillance in West Bengal. India has deployed indigenously-made UAVs, including the Heron TP, to counter potential threats. The drones were stationed near the sensitive "chicken neck" corridor, a crucial area connecting northeast India to the rest of the country. This move comes amid growing tensions between India and Bangladesh, which have been strained after Sheikh Hasina’s ouster and allegations of communal violence in Bangladesh, further complicating bilateral relations.
