Japan experienced its hottest October on record since 1898, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). The national average temperature surged 2.21°C above typical October levels. Regional temperature increases varied, with northern Japan rising 1.9°C, eastern and western Japan increasing 2.6°C. Notably, cities like Kyoto, Nagano, and central Tokyo saw significant temperature hikes of 3.2°C, 3.1°C, and 2.6°C respectively. This record-breaking heatwave underscores concerns about climate change's impact on Japan's weather patterns.
