A recent survey by Local Circles has exposed the alarming impact of Delhi-NCR's deteriorating air quality on residents' health. Of the 21,000 respondents, 69% reported at least one family member suffering from pollution-related ailments, such as sore throat and cough. The survey revealed widespread health issues, including burning eyes (62%), runny nose or congestion (46%), and other respiratory problems. Delhi-NCR's Air Quality Index (AQI) spiked to hazardous levels on Diwali night, reaching 999 in several areas. The findings underscore the urgent need for effective measures to combat air pollution and protect public health in the region.
