Noida's AQI Jumps to 304 in One Day, Officials Blame Pakistan for Pollution

Noida's Air Quality Index (AQI) surged to 304 on Sunday, doubling from 169 the previous day and falling into the 'very poor' category. This marks the first instance this season that Noida, Greater Noida, and Ghaziabad experienced such poor air quality simultaneously. Officials from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board attributed the pollution spike to stubble burning in Pakistan, compounded by stagnant winds that hindered dispersion. Delhi's AQI also remained in the 'very poor' category at 264. The deteriorating air quality has sparked political blame between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
